My husband and I (Sarah) bought a beautiful all white Olde Bull Dog from Puppies 'N' Things in Jacksonville, FL. The dog was fine for the first 2 months or so we thought. We purchased the dog in September 2007 and by December 2007 the dog had pink skin rashes all over his body. He was itching so bad that they began to bleed. A few days later he broke out in bumps, looking like chicken pocks, all over his belly. We had taken him in for a skin scrapping to see what was wrong but it came back negative. After he got worse we took him again and the skin scrapping came back positive. Our dog has Demodectic Mange. It is caused by microscopic mites that live deep in the skin around hair roots and accomplaying oil glands. Symptoms of demodectic mange include hair loss, skin redness or swelling, and itching, cruting, and secondary bacterial infection in the affected areas. We were informed by our Vet that the Lemon Law in the state of Florida for dogs will cover all vet fees not to exceed the price of the dog. In addition, we can demand our money back for the dog. There are also the choice of returning the dog but we are way to attached and just want our justice. When I read the other comments about this breeder I could not belive it. If anyone has any of these similar problems look up the Lemon Law for pets in your state. We bought the dog for $1,500 and now have spend an additional $1,000 on vet bills. We will get all of out money back. Plus we have to have him neutered b/c if you do not he will spred the gene to his pups. We would never do this. Our dog was in a litter called Stonehenge Olde Bulldog so if you have dog out of this litter MAKE SURE your dog is healthy! This disease is passed on to 98% of all animals in the litter and there were 12 living animals in the litter. There were 7 Males and 3 Females. I hope this helps someone that reads this. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS BREEDER!!!! SICK ANIMALS!!!
