We had taken a small Cocker Spaniel to be trained by Tamar Gellar. She alleges that she is compassionate and trains in a non aggressive way. Our dog was beaten badly on the second day of training and suffered sever damages. She was taken to a vet or said she had been beaten into submission from the forensic analysis of her back legs and neck. Tamar was the trainer and she should be shut down.

So sorry about your dog. I would file animal abuse complaints against her with the authorities.

I would also take her to small claims for the vet bills and a refund of training fees.

I appreciate your comments. We files a complaint against Tamar Geller for dog abuse. Apparently there are many pending against her. She will be shut down soon. The public is now growingly aware of her abusive practices like what happened to my "baby".

No one has ever filed charges against Tamar. She has never been accused of any dog abuse. In fact, she's the ONLY trainer ever endorsed by the Humane Society of the US. She also has never trained any dogs in Glendale (if that's where you're really from). However, she does have some ex-employees who live in this area.

It is unfair and illegal to post false accusations against a person in this way. Not only have you (David, or Tony--you've used both names in different internet postings) never had any reason to file charges, but neither has anyone else.

I don't know why you keep posting such completely untrue statements. First of all, you state that you "took your dog to Tamar." Tamar works with people at their houses, so she comes to you. You also stated earlier that you had filed charges against Tamar, and suggested that other people had, too. NO ONE HAS FILED CHARGES AGAINST TAMAR because she would never treat a dog in the way you suggest. Please stop using the internet to take potshots at someone just because of their celebrity.

First of all....Tamar certainly trains at her workplace. If a dog is already in kennel, she will train there. If she cannot be at the facility, she will have one of her lackeys do it for her. The fees are the same, but the lackey will only get 30.00 for his or her time.

Also, this is NOT a cage free facility. There are cages on the premises, in the main dog area on the first floor, out of sight from the public. Dogs are put into "time out" in the cages if they become hard to handle or fight with other dogs.

Also, I have first hand knowledge of one employee who beat animals. He is/was a care-taker who lives/lived on the premises illegally.

My suggestion? Spend a little less money and sign up at (((redacted))) for training lessons.

This woman has no extraordinary skills. She treat trains like most of the other trainers out there.

She hates bad publicity. So whoever BrentS is, Im sure he is probably employed by her.

sorry, …allowing you to give a competitors name would instigate others to just file against their competition, to only come back later to suggest their company, ..plus, if you post a competitors name more than likely they will show up on search engines as a Rip-off! - - your comments on this policy are welcome. I worked for Tamar for 2 years. There is NO WAY she would ever harm a dog or hire any trainer that would harm a dog. Anyone she hires to train would have to have her complete trust and confidence. I am disgusted at the lies people make up.

I have nothing to gain by backing Tamar as we do not keep in touch or see eachother anymore. However I cannot stand back and allow people to bash her in such a way when I KNOW with every fiber of my being, that reports of abuse by Tamar or her employees are LIES.

Anyone saying this is jealous of her success or has some personal vendetta against her. You are sick and you should be ashamed of yourselves. Get a life.
