My family was very excited to purchase a new addition to our family and as previous bulldog owners were looking to obtain a new quality bulldog puppy. My husband scoured the internet looking at puppy after puppy and finally came across http://ozarkbulldogs.com where he found some great looking white bulldog puppies. The website was strewn with all types of content talking about prideful breeding, maintaining great relationships with puppy owners and making sure that customers were satisfied. We paid $1500 for our puppy and paid $200 for shipping. This obviously is not a light expense. When we got our puppy he was absolutely adorable. Certainly no complaints there, however, after a few days of attempting training, he seemed to be very stubborn but it started to become apparent that maybe he couldn't hear us. Then the day came he was sleeping and I dropped a pan about 4 feet from where he was and he didn’t even so much as flinch. I went online & researched deaf puppies and applied the few tests suggested. He failed them all. We emailed the breeder and she wrote back as though she was completely devastated. I have never had a deaf baby before. If he truly is deaf I will make it right with you. Let me know something. I would not have sent you a deaf baby if I was aware of him being deaf. He just ran around with his brothers and sisters and never once acted like he couldn't hear. Our vet checked him out. Being deaf might be a tough one to catch. I have never had to deal with a deaf baby before. Please let me know something. Respectfully,

Clearly she offered to let us send him back or if we kept him, she would refund half of our money. We needed to think on it as training was already very trying. TWO emails stating so. We found that we were in love with the dog but he was going to be a lot more challenging and were pretty much of the opinion that if we had known he was deaf, we were rather certain that we wouldn’t have paid $750 for a special needs dog. Who would? We wrote her an email to that effect hoping for a better compromise. What we got back was this:
I am reimbursing $500.00 towards the cost of Tank. I hope this will compensate for some of the frustrations you are having. I am sending via paypal to the email address listed above.

A $500 refund (after offering to pay back $750 with a basic “sorry for the inconvenience”). We responded to her asking what happened to the $750 offer.  She didn't write back.  We attempted on several  more occasions to communicate with her to receive no response. We asked her to at least honor what they initially offered. They simply quit communicating with us and never followed through with what they offered TWICE. I went back on their website to find that they actually have a story posted about one of their deaf puppies! The puppy is Moses and this is the story they tell of him: Below is one amazing story of one amazing English bully puppy who had the determination that many of us would consider impossible. Read all about my Moses below. (Take note of Moses blue eye. Although very rare, often an English can be born with a wonderous blue eye. It is as blue as the ocean deep and as mesmorizing as the blue sky on a warm sunny day. A blue eye will 98% say that this puppy is deaf. Moses is deaf, but that is not all of Moses story. Read more below). We love our baby Moses. He has been an inspiration for us and should be an inspiration to allYou read what she wrote up there about never having a deaf puppy, right? Tammy Schrable is dishonest, sold us a deaf dog, and charged us $1000 for it! She certainly is not a person of her word nor does she provide the quality she claims. BUYERS BEWARE!! Get your puppies from a breeder you can trust…She is not one! Don't let the twirling "Jesus" sign on their website fool you!
