Delonghi America 4 months, dozens of calls, hundreds in shipping charges and I still don't have a $640 espresso machine! Wood Ridge, New Jersey

In mid September 2009 I notifed Delonghi-America that the espresso machine I purchased at Bed, Bath and Beyond, which was still under a one year warranty, was defective.  On September 14, 2009, the rep I had spoken with, Nicole, asked me to fax a copy of the original purchase receipt which I did. 


Almost a month later on October 10, 2009 I received a "white glove" box and paperwork to send the unit to a service company in Seattle, WA by the name of Action Small Appliance.  I sent the espresso machine in the packaging as instructed.  I did not hear anything for two months.  I made several calls to Action Small Appliance and finally got ahold of someone that stated they would send the machine back to me fixed right away.


I received the machine a couple of weeks later and found that it was no longer working at all.  I tried for several days to contact Action Small Appliance but their phone was always busy.  I finally called Delonghi America again and told them about the problem and explained I had now been without my $640 espresso machine for over three months.  They sent me out another "white glove" packaging kit to send the unit directly to them at this point.  I sent the package out immediately upon receiving the kit at the end of December 2009. 


I finally received the machine back on January 21, 2010, after being without a working machine for over 4 months.  The machine was missing the entire bottom drip tray, the coffee scoop and the manual.  I am waving the white flag as I no longer have the strength or the time to deal with Delongi America any longer.  At this time I would like my original purchase price of $640 back!
