*General Comment: Waited A Year?

I ordered a 4 pack of refrigerator water filters just over a year ago and just found out that they are not compatible as their website advertises and also stated on their invoice. They thought the adapter I had was not the right one and had me buy theirs which turned out to be exactly like the one I already had.
They refuse to pay the shipping to return them and will only credit 3 out of the 4 filters because one is now opened. They say that they are going beyond their warranty because it was over a year ago, but I feel cheated because they admit to a problem but expect me to assume some of the cost.
This is a company who does not care about the inconvenience they caused by their mistake not to mention the direct expense to you. I understand that mistakes happen and are not intentional. I do not tolerate errors in my own company and give my customers a full refund with a certificate for future use because I realize an apology does not cover the inconvenience of a mistake, but we try.
All I wanted was the correct filters without additional expense or a paid shipping label to return all 4 filters and adapter for a full refund for their mistake. This is not unreasonable just because it took a year to realized it if they hadn’t made the mistake in the first place.
BBB next, the South Carolina Department of Consumer Affairs and what ever else it takes to obtain a fair resolution!

You waited a year to find out they don't fit? It's pretty common for companies to have a limit of 90, or 30 days for any returns. The fact they they offered anything is amazing since it had been so long. Sounds like sour grapes to me.
