I purchased a Maytag Model MVWX500XW Wash Machine from Lowes for $539.10.
The Lowes price on the Maytag Model MVWX500XW was advertised at $599.00,
Home Depot had the exact same model advertised on their website for
$539.10.

Lowes advertises that 'Nobody Beats Our Prices. Nobody.' and further states on their receipts, store banners and their website that 'We guarantee our everyday competitive prices. If you find a lower everyday price on an identical item at a local retail competitor, just bring us the competitor's current ad and we'll beat their price by 10%. If a competitor is offering a percent off discount, we'll reduce our current price by the same percentage discount that the competitor is offering.
Our price guarantee does not apply to installation labor, to the competitor's close out, special order, discontinued, clearance, liquidation, or to damaged items. Limited to reasonable quantities.'

So per Lowes own advertising 'If you find a lower everyday price on an identical item at a local retail competitor, just bring us the competitor's current ad and we'll beat their price by 10%.'

I found a lower advertised price at Home Depot. I took a current ad, the price was for a new, stock item, current model, the price had no time limit, the price reference no discount, thus it would be considered an everyday price and this meets all the criteria for Lowes advertised additional 10%.

However Darren at Lowes would only match Home Depots price of $539.10 and said I did not qualify for the addition 10%. I went to another Lowes facility at 133rd and Stateline Kansas City, Missouri and they said they would have honored the additional 10%.

Lowes advertises 'We have the LOWEST prices, GUARANTEED! And if you find a lower price, they will BEAT IT by 10%. This advertizement is printed on every receipt that leave the store, it is posted all over the store and it is a BIG LIE.
