Montecito Fine Arts College Of Design Stopped Classes Without Prior Notice Monrovia California

Montecito stopped all classes one day out of the blue, on july 10th, and did not put up a notice or a note or let anybody know why. After hours of standing around and waiting and listening to rumors that the school is now bankrupt and will close down, the Director came forward and apologized to the public and said that the school will reopen 2-3 weeks later, roughly August 1st. Now the students that go to school pay tuitions upwards in the 10,000's of dollars. What type of business practice is it to just close your doors and hope that no one will notice? Now they are not issuing any refunds to the parents that want to take their kids out of the school. Even partial refunds aren't even accepted. If a business can't deliver what it promises, shouldn't a customer be entitled to his/her money back? Isn't this also a type of fraud or misleading advertisement? For all I know, they could have took all the money and jumped ship.

From what I hear, the school owes a lot of money to several big name media companies, especially in the Chinese media/press. Teachers and employees have not gotten paid for 2-3 months at a time. But the school is still signing students up left and right and have over 100 students. With the high price in tuition, wouldn't you think that the school should not have any financial difficulties?

I digress, but bottom line is that I want my money back, and I believe any parent who wants to withdraw their child from the school on the premises that the school was not able to perform what was promised should be entitled to their money back as well.
