AM Press Association (aka) Independent Marketing Firm, Mags R Us Two college students sweet talked me into 2 magazine subscriptions. Miami Florida

Young man and girl presented themselves as college students earning points for money for college. Asked to buy subscription from each. Wrote 2 checks for $15; half of each subscripton. Was to mail 2 more checks within 10 days; then wait 90 to 120 days for magazines. I called my bank to stop payment. They told me $20 or go on line and stop payment for $10. I did this after my husband told me it was a scam, because he had signed up with a company to do the same thing 50 years ago. He could not doing it and went back home the first day. I also went on line to check on company and found out about the Ripoff Report.
