I noticed that several other customer have the EXACT same complaint. My problem did not start with th automobile industry. Ashley Furniture offered the same "free gas" program. They want to wash their hands of it! They hired a rip off company that does not represent them well. I will never buy furnture here again.

I have been waiting since October to receive $100.00 in gift cards from Kroger. My offer was $500 over the next 2 years. All had to do was send in $100.00 in gas receipts. Which I did in October, November, December, January, and now February. I paid my $5.00 and received my registration number.

Most people don't know that there are 4 comanpies involved in this little scam. In this particular case, it is presented as though you are getting your furniture at this great rate because of the free gas. Ashley Furniture hired MDC Marketing Group (located in Florida) to market this free gas. Freebeegas.com (located in Florida) and GasRedemption.com (located in Florida) use MDC to market their centers.

I have received excuse after excuse on why these are not fulfilled.

1. Freebee Gas went out of business and GasRedemption "picked up" the load.
2. GasRedemption has "so many" they cannot keep up.
3. GasRedemption had a "sequel server" crash (back in November, and had to

manually find their customers. Come on! How long does it take???!!!
4. GasRedemption's email is not working.
5. GasRedemption's phones are not working.
6. GasRedemption's website is not updated and so they are not "getting

inquiries.

The list goes on and on. My last conversation with them was on 2/12/09. The "manager" said "You will get them when you get them."

Companies like Ashely furniture need to suck it up. Just meet their customer's needs and hand out the $500 gift cards. Their marketing tactic with GasRedemption is obviously just pissing their customers off!!! I have told all my family and friends- don't believe any company that gives you "free gas". It is all a scam!

I have filed a complaint with the Attorney General's Office in Florida and Texas on all of these companies.
