USA v JOHN CONSTANTINE GOLFIS
BIGGEST "DEADBEAT DAD" IN U.S. HISTORY IS SENT TO FEDERAL PRISON
On August 12, 2009 a federal judge ordered John Constantine Golfis to federal prison and to pay $391,400 in restitution to the crime victims in this case.
While it took more than 1 decade for the feds to prosecute Golfis for these crimes, better late than NEVER.
On August 12th, the Court found that Golfis DOES have the ability to pay child support and failed to comply with his PLEA AGREEMENT to turn over accurate financial records regarding himself, his wife, and every business that he has been engaged in for the past 3 years. The Court also found that Golfis has an extensive criminal record.
On August 12th, the Court gave Golfis the "maximum" of 6 months in federal prison after he refused to pay even 1 child support payment in more than 1 decade while owing over $500,000 in child support (per 1994 California Court Order) which is outrageous when any reasonable person considers the following:
1. USA v Madoff - Bernie Madoff received a far greater sentence after he RIPPED OFF similar amounts from his crime victims.
OR
2. As reported by CNN recently, Frank Hatley was forced to serve 13 months in jail for being a "deadbeat dad" owing $16,000 when he was NOT the father. This "childless" man received more than twice the sentence that Golfis received even though Golfis owes 25 times more in child support.

3. As reported by the Tarrant County website for Texas, during April 2007 COUNTRYWIDE approved John C. Golfis to finance the purchase of a NEW HOME and accepted his down payment of about $70,000 as part of this transaction. How did John C. Golfis qualify for a mortgate? Who qualified him?
President Obama: Please add this to your list of BROKEN systems that is NOT WORKING for AMERICANS and needs FIXING now. American Children deserve better than this. Americans victimized by Golfis when he SHOULD HAVE BEEN BEHIND BARS long ago deserve better!
