PAYPAL Holding money No real reason and takes many phone calls to get back Nationwide

On Thurs Feb 11...me and numerous other sellers where told they were holding our funds. When you call they said it was security reasons. I talked with my buyers and they tell me they have called are telling paypal they are happy recieved item whole bit. But paypal still not releasing my funds. I had filed a complaint in Dec. about not recieving item in Dec. Was told I would have an answer by 1/27/09. On 1/27/09 was told needed more time. I had tried many times to tell them I finally recieved the merch. to give seller his money. Is this a scam to hold our money in their banks? What is going on? I have heard nothing but complaints about them since ebay bought them. They do not give a clear answer why they are doing this. I was told NOT TO SHIP until they release my money. I will have a very unhappy customer soon and will result in bad feedback. I asked about that. I was told customers would understand. PAYPAL needs to explain what is happening.

Hi Charlene,
If the payments were made via credit card they should process in about 2 days. If e checks are being used they have to clear just like any other check before they can be posted to your account. Some checks take longer than others to clear.
The only delay I've ever experienced with PayPal is when an e check was used for payment. I prefer credit cards be used as a method of payment, much quicker.
