Resurgent Capital Services Our loan was assumed by Resurgent. We are month behind due to confusion. Someone from Resurgent actually came to our house and left a notice on our door. Our loan was supposedly assumed by Resurgent, yet when I called I was told that they(Resurgent) did not have the loan. After much confusion it was established they indeed had the loan.

I made a payment with my debit card and assumed everything was ok. Somehow I still owed one month. I came home to discover that someone named Allen had been to my house on a Saturday and left a notice on my door that my payment was past due.

I feel that I am being harrassed. I could see a phone call regarding the account, but since when does a company representative personally come to your home? This is a second mortgage loan. We also hold a first mortgage that is nearly paid off and they have never came to our house seeking payment. Everything is done by phone or mail. How am I to know that this person is indeed with Resurgent?
