Rock Tops Took my money on their way out the door! Wixom Michigan

My customer and met with a Mark Williams, a Rock Tops salesman, on 12/12/08 to purchase counter tops for their home currently under construction in Riverview Michigan.

After spending a few hours making selections and outlining all the details of the agreement, Mark took a deposit of $4,055.00. We scheduled a date,12/16/08 for their field rep. to come on site and make counter top templates.

I had talked with Mark a couple of times that week regarding the job and all seamed well. I tried to call again on12/29/08 and received no answer but thought nothing of it due to the Holiday season. When I received no answer on 01/05/08 I began to wonder what was up so kept trying to reach him ultimately discovering they had went out of business.

I have been conducting business in the Downriver area for 25 plus years and had no ideas I was about to be ripped off. I am very thankful I used a credit card for the deposit and have since filed a dispute with the credit card company. I hope all works out for me and that the S.O.B. that orchestrated this shut down have to give back all moneys that they did not deliver on.
