Summer Bay Resorts Stay away from Summer Bay Resorts. They are Masters of Deception! Clermont Florida

The latest from Summer Bay Resorts: I had enlisted the cooperation of the Central Florida Better Business Bureau in an effort to try to recoup my money now in the hands of these heartless people.

When contacted, Mr. Baker's response is a typical example of runaround and deception from the very first paragraph of his reply where he mentioned that the purchase of the vacation package was made on February 19, 2008 at the agreed upon amount of $498.00.

False! The total amount of my money in their hands is $698.00 ($498.00 + 200.00 accomodation upgrade)...

Also, according to him, had I contacted them around May 8, 2008, following my 50-day hospital stay, they would have been more than happy (sic) to work their arrangements to assist me.

Still, playing with dates, they keep denying me the refund I feel I am rightfully entitled to for exceptional serious medical reasons which are documented. Incidentally, they conveniently turned down my offer to provide them with a medical certificate...

In conclusion, an important factor also to be considered, is the fact that they haven't provided me any service at all and still feel that my hard-earned money ($698.00, NOT $498.00 as they claimed) is legitimely theirs to keep.

The time frame for me to request cancellation and ask for a refund was 7 days but it so happens that on February 23, 2008, still within the time frame, when I had already made up my mind to cancel, I had a catastrophic auto accident and landed in the trauma center of a nearby hospital.

To sum up, they may have their rules and procedures, but mine are extraordinary circumstances which call for a certain degree of compassion on humanitarian grounds, something that Mr.Baker and his cohorts are obvious lacking.

I still hope that with your support there may be a satisfactoery resolution of this annoying matter in the near future.
