I used to work for VMS Alarms on Tollgate RD in West Warwick, Rhode Island.
I worked with a great team, an awesome manager (Joe, you're the man!), and all in all it was a great experience.
The pay structure is as follows:
You could choose to do hourly (You're an absolute retard if you do) for $8/hour
Or you could choose to be commission only.
You call the leads and pitch the promotion.
Here's the beauty of it all. You don't have to sell them on it to make any money!
Just get them to listen to you, and have them agree to be contacted within 5 minutes to speak with a "technician" who will answer any questions they have. If they ask the technician to call them back. That's a "Call Back" and earns you $25
If they take the package that's a sale which earns you $25.
I had some weeks where I made $700-$800 and some weeks where I only made $300-$400, but no matter what we always had a good time in the call center.
As far as the fucktards on here complaining about being ripped off. Everything is stated in your contract. We tell you it's a contract, we tell you about your monitoring fees, and we tell you about cancellation. Just because you're too stupid to manage your finances does NOT mean this company is a rip-off.
I lost my temper with an ignorant customer and called him after hours and threatened to blow his brains out. I was fired for this, lol. I guess I had it coming to me, but if I ever had the opportunity to work for VMS again, I'd do it in a heartbeat.
