. I purchased this 7 year RV warranty policy and was told that if I had no claim during the policy term that I would receive ALL of my money back ($784). If I canceled it prior to its expiration date then they would deduct a $50 administrative fee and prorate the time used.

On May 2, 2008 I was involved in an accident whereby my trailer (and vehicle) were deemed a total loss. I called Warranty Experts, spoke to Jason Flowers and told him that we had no trailer and would cancel the policy. At that time Jason and I figured out what amount would be refunded to me ($658) but Jason thought more like it would be $648.63 and that it would take 30-45 days for the refund. On July 21, 2008 I received a check in the amount of $406! When I called them I was told that the $250 was for a cruise voucher that I never used. Their excuse was that they deduct that amount to “prevent someone from taking out insurance with them, getting the cruise and going on it and then canceling the insurance and getting their $$$ back.” I do understand this but this is NOT what happened and they know that. We did NOT take the cruise, still have the voucher and when we received the voucher in September 2007 and read all the convoluted terms, we called them and told them that we were not going to take the cruise! I told and wrote to Jason and again explained that we CANCELLED the insurance due to a terrible accident. That this was an involuntary cancellation. He then said that he would see what he could do on 7/24/08 to get the $250 back. I called about a week later and was told that they were going to give the $250 back within a week. That never happened and now they do not answer their telephones nor return messages left on their company's voice mail.

During that week I called Prizm (the “administrator for claims etc) and gave them my policy number. They told me that they had NO RECORD of it and that they were never paid for the warranty…hence the money I paid to Warranty Experts was NEVER forwarded to Prizm and according to Prizm I never had a warranty in effect. Knowing that my policy was never ever in effect, I should be given back the ENTIRE AMOUNT PAID ($784) and not a pro-rated amount since in essence there was nothing in effect to prorate.!
