February 2011: Glenda Marie Young introduced herself as a rental specialist and found my name and number on Craig's list ad. She uses the guise that she represents professional atheletes (Colorado Rockies baseball team) who she says she has agreements thru the teams managers, to rent homes or condos during spring baseball season in Scottsdale AZ.
That is a lie! The team affiliates do not know them.
One of the Colorado Rockies baseball player (name left out for obvious reasons) sent her $1000 via pay pal a month earlier.
I introduced her to several condos that were for lease. Glenda marie Young had the players move in a vacant condo, without speaking to the owner nor sending the owner rents nor an agreed upon lease.
The players were evicted from the condo.
She never returned thier money.
As we looked further into the situation, she had been arrested earlier in 2008 for foregery and using counterfeit bills. As we looked further, she scammed many many others since 2008, out of refundable deposits and more. She works for Cactus Pro Properties-John F. McCune. This company is ONLY a trade name and the address's they use is a post office box, that appears as physical address's but it is NOT.
John mcCune is Glenda's x-husband (father of her child) has been acting as the property management company (unlicensed with the city, state). This company is no more than a rent collector and steals owners tenants deposits. They neither own their any properties, and squat-live in vacant homes uninvited. They seem to be vagrants, and both have criminal records.
I suggest using the services of a Licensed brokerage when locating rentals and stay far away from these individuals unless you want to get ripped off by them like many already have been.

Glenda Marie Young used to be employed by the now defunct, vacation home property management company Desert Golf. The company closed their doors due to the gross negligence of the owners and management
Before Desert Golf closed their doors I received quite a few phone calls from their staff saying they “double booked” a home and are now in need of a back up home to move their displaced client too. How do you double book a home I asked? I was told it was an employee Glenda Young that did it and she was having renters pay her direct and pocketing the money. It got so bad towards the end that they even had tenants walking in on other tenants. Talk about mass confusion.
I received several phone calls from Desert Golf homeowners with properties that were mismanaged by Desert Golf. They were all telling me the same thing, that Desert Golf had been renting their homes and not reporting the income to the owners.
Unfortunately from what I’ve been told the owner of the company was too busy trying to climb her way out of a bottle to notice what was happening within her own ranks. Many of the employees took advantage of the situation. Glenda Marie Young is the one name that I kept hearing over and over again. I even had one homeowner tell me they found Glenda living in their home when it was supposedly vacant.
My recommendation. Before doing business with a property management company make sure they are licensed with the Arizona Department of Real Estate. This is a relatively simple thing to do and will only take a few minutes of your time. Simply go to ADRE’S web page and search for the licensed individuals name or business name. If the company is legitimate they will have no problem giving you their Real Estate license numbers.
Many people don’t realize, in the state of Arizona, to run a property management company legally, the company must have a licensed Real Estate Broker that oversees the day-to-day operations of the business. Also, if the company is holding monies and deposits they must also have a trust account that is operated in accordance with ADRE’S rules and guidelines.
