securitas security servises - higher paid employee wrongfully fired to be replaced by lower paid individual that started confrontation in office after hours. parma , Ohio

On june 28 2011 at 2340 hours i pulled in parking lot at parmatown mall.I sat in car and had a smoke before reporting to work.While in the car i noticed a red van with 2 black guys sitting in it parked by door1 rear entrance for employees.

Reported to work at 2350 hours to replace Douglas Shenek. Greeted him with How ya doin? He said ok and he hopes he did everything ok. This automatically put a question in my mind, so in a calm and normal voice i asked  Douglas is he locked door 1 and he said yes. Door 2? he said yes. Door 3? He said yes. Door 4? he said yes.Then i asked him about the red van and Douglas said he did not know.

Then i asked him if he put the chain on the mall door by Walmart. This is when Douglas went berserk on me. He yelled at me in a very nasty and confrontational voice WHO ARE YOU TO QUESTION MY WORK.!!I stoped signing into my Daily Activity Report and sign in and looked at him in total disbeleif. I tried to talk to him and all i got out was  You just told, this was part of the sentance of you just told me you hoped you did everything right but i was cut off by DOUGLAS' ( WHO ARE YOU TO COME IN HERE ACTING LIKE A BOSS AND QUESTIONING MY WORK!!)Again i tried to speak to Douglas calmly and he stated the same comment loud and threatenenly. That is three times i tried to give him my answer and all the while i kept calm doing it.The third time he repeated it and started to walk toward me.

 We were separated by a flip up counter in the front security office. When he walked toward me i instintively stood up in a defensive move ,..not knowing if he was going to jump the counter or open it. I thought he was going to attack me. SAt this time Then i said to him in a not so nice voice,... If you would shut the(((REDACTED FOUL LANGUAGE))) and let me speak i will be able to tell you i am trying to help you and i am the guy here alone all nightand it is my life that is at stake on the overnight shift if you did not do everything correctly. I only used the f word in a defensive way to get his attention so i could speak, but the bosses did not see it that way.

  Then Douglas said angrily and loud NOW YOU ARE TELLING ME TO SHUT THE(((REDACTED FOUL LANGUAGE)))? Then in same angry loud voice Douglas said  i CAN SEE IT IS GOING TO BE A PAIN IN THE a*s TO WORK WITH YOU and as he left he called me a jerk and left the office. That same night i found every door i asked him if he locked or chained them unloced and not armed. He lied and the boss Hupy let him get away with it. I was written up and fired.  I was making 11.00 per hour for 40 hours per week. Everyone else including Douglas was at 9 or 10 dollars  per hour. Douglas was written up and promoted to my position and not the same money i made. Also some history.

  January 11 2011,..fell on property of Parmatown mall performing my work checking out a dropped off semi trailer at rear of Marks discount store that had it's doors wide open and broke wrist. Was out of work . At this time i was a transfered employee fron parmatown owners and transfered to securitas.I was working for securitas when accident happened. Now workers comp came into the picture and everyone knows we are all punished for getting hurt on the job by receiving only 2/3 of pay. For  about three months off work. Financially destroyed. WEnt back earlier than doctor stated but with his permission. What Hupy let me beleive would be full time turned out to be 2 8 hour nights and had to perform all duties but classified as light duty. Then workers comp stopped and i had to hustle to get partial payment from workers comp to survive barley. Did any one from Securitas warn me what would happen? NO!! I had no idea.

  When i got hurt,..we were all just starting to  learn the computer system in the front office and in the vehicle. When i returned i knew nothing and requested i be retrained not just thrown onto it. WEll Hupy just threw me onto it myself and told me to figure it out. I had alot of problems and got harrassed and reprimanded by Hupy. I filed a complaint with the main office of harassment by Hupy who was my boss. I was feeling picked on by him and it did not feel good. My wife noticed the change in me as well. To,..This all feels like a set up. You see,..when i was switched from parmatown security to securitas i was to keep my shift and hours and my pay which was 11.63 per hour. Securitas did not keep their end of the bargain. And i was informed of the agreement from My old boss Gary Outz that was informed by office personnel. I lost 63 cents when securitas took over. I lost my job on july 5. I really did not actually work for securitas security that long. I was hurt for 3 months and still am. I worked about 2 months and got fired and the person who started the whole incident got promoted.
