The American Arbitration Association is a waste of time and money where justice goes to the highest bidder or the one with the most clout. As a contractor, I lost everything I had worked for over 16 years due to the complete indifference and incompetence of three arbitrators that took two years to arrive at a BS decision. I too, had an arbitrator who fell asleep during the proceedings. Despite photographs, a video tape, witnesses, documentation, and the report of a professional consulting engineer, these "arbitrators" ignored the evidence and took care of their own.
