I signed up for a Doba (www.doba.com) trial to look at their drop shipping options and to check their pricing.
First off, their drop shipping prices which they claim are wholesale are far from it. In most cases from the research I performed they were often very close to retail if not higher in some cases. Consider their business model. They source products from wholesalers who source them from the manufacturers and then they source them to ebay sellers. Everyone in the process is taking a cut and a significant percentage is going to Doba leaving the ebay seller very little or no margin to make a profit especially considering the auction fees.
After performing my research and realizing that it would be very difficult to make any kind of money using Doba's service, I made attempts to cancel my trial on the day before it ended in order to avoid getting charged. When I finally did reach their customer service on the following day, they claimed that they would be unable to return my subscription fee which they had charged me for. They stated policy and instructions and yadda yadda yadda. I never used their service and yet they refused to return my money. Unbelievably poor customer service and policy.
Doba, your customer service and your policy is not "customer centric" its Doba centric which is unfortunate. Ebay Sellers beware, if this is how they treat their customers do you think their drop shipping and other services will be any better?
There are a lot of companies that can put up a nice website but to run a respectable organization... Why is it it so hard to treat customers properly and with respect?
Their are many other drop shipping services that treat their customers properly and with respect. Doba is not one of them.
