To be brief: Approximately three years ago I made a few purchases at Best Buy electronics store, on my store credit card. However because of their high prices, I decided to return all the items. After I returned the items, I noticed that the statements continued coming. The statements never showed any credits for the items returned, so I kept on calling the store about the matter.

Each time I callled they told me not to worry, since it was a " no interest no payment for twelve (12) months", the balance would fall off after that time. However, at the end of such time I found out that I was owing the amount and I've been reported to the Credit Bureau. They claimed that their system did not show any return.

So how do we explain my original return receipt of all items purchased??? Well I'll tell you, on that day I returned all the items costing approximately $400.00, maxing-out my store credit.
A new/training cashier did the transaction. It was ovious to me that the clerk did not know what she was doing and after several erroneous tries to complete the transaction, she admitted that she was new and did not quite know what to do. So the new clerk called for assistance from another employee, who did what seem to be a manual/overide return transaction. I asked if that was ok they said yes, that the actuall transaction would go through later. So I placed the items up on the counter, got my return receipts and left. I thought that was the end of that, but it was not.

BestBuy never applied the credit to my account. They have the balds to say I owe them....when I don't. They have also been reporting me to the Credit card bureau's.

I have tried everything besides retaining an atorney, to correct this situation: letters and copies of my receipts to the Atlanta Consumer Affairs Association, and other credit bureau's to investigate this matter, but BestBuy has since failed to respond to me, or any of these agencies- to show any efforth to resolve this matter. In the mean time they continue to increase the balance, which which they feel I should pay for electronics I never purchased.

I'm grateful for any assistance from anyone out there who can help me get this off my credit and retaliate against this store.
My advice to anyone thinking about purchasing anything from BestBuy, think not twice, but think hard, is it worth it- there are other electronic stores out there, past BestBuy straight.
