Circut City Ontario Ohio Service Contract Rip-Off Ontario Ohio

I purchased a Hewlett Packard laptop for over $2,000.00 (including sales tax) a little over two years ago. I also,after being high pressured purchased a service contract that, according to the sales person, "covered everything after the manufacturers warranty expired" I was not given a contract, but a pamphlet with the service numbers on it. In large letters on the side the pamphlet said that: "If we can't repair it we will replace it"

A few months ago the laptop fan started making a little noise on ocassion. I called the service number and was told that I was running too many start up programs. No problem, I reduced the programs. The fan still sometimes made noise.

I called the service department again and made arrangements for them to look at the laptop.
Remember, the laptop worked perfectly, it just sometimes made noise. I backed up and copied my files and sent it off. After not hearing anything for a week, I called and was told that the laptop was full of water when it arrived! That later changed to it must have been wet at some time. NOT! At least not when I had it.

Needless to say, they claim that the laptop had been accidentally damaged, they would not repair it,sent it back to me, and it doesn't work at all.

I paid thousands of dollars and now, have nothing...
Do not shop Circut City, and do not expect them to honor thier agreements.

By the way, the bag that the laptop was in upon arrival at my home does have tiny pieces of bakellite in it...
