Fry's Electronics - Fry's Credit Fry's Credit is a SCAM! Deceptive practices, unflexible policies. San Jose California

Last year I bought a stainless steel refrigerator from Fry's. BTW: They dented the refrigerator when they installed it and said that it's the way it came from the factory.

The salesperson told me that they had a promo to open a new Fry's card and that I would get 0% interest for 1 year. I specifically asked him if it was DEFERRED interest or no interest for 1 year. He told me that there would be no interest charged at all. He lied.

They have been accruing interest the whole year at 21.54%. I have excellent credit and my other cards charge me between 8.99 and 14.99%. I would have used one of these cards or transferred from savings and paid cash had I not been lied to.

I tried to pay off the card a few days before the promotion expired, but couldn't login to the credit card website. They say that the website to manage your account is fryscredit.com , but there is nowhere to login at that site.

When I called them today to try to pay off the card, they told me that because it was a few days after the expiration there would be $346.95 in additional deferred interest charges and that there was no way to avoid it. The ironic thing is that they have not posted the interst to the account yet. She had to put me on hold to look up the amount, because my account shows a balance of $1362.36 , no interest has posted to the account.

I've closed my account and will not do business with Fry's again. I do not do business with companies that have deceptive practices.
