December 4, 2009: Ordered snow machine and snow fluid online from Hollywood DJ

December 10, 2009: Received order from Hollywood DJ

December 12, 2009: Opened shipment from Hollywood DJ to test equipment. Followed all instructions, yet equipment failed to produce snow. Contacted Hollywood DJ regarding equipment failure, spoke with Chris at Hollywood DJ. Chris indicated some tactics to try, which also failed to produce desired results. Contacted Chris at Hollywood DJ to report equipment continued to fail. Chris told us new equipment would be sent as soon as we confirmed the defective equipment was being returned and he would send a prepaid return UPS shipping label by e-mail. Return shipping label was received by e-mail . UPS Tracking Number for return package was 1Z76A0Y89098491466

December 14, 2009: Took the package with the defective mini snow machine to UPS  to return to Hollywood DJ. UPS Tracking Number for return package was 1Z76A0Y89098491466. Contacted Hollywood DJ by e-mail and telephone after drop-off to notify them of return at UPS and to confirm their shipment of a replacement. No response received as of COB either by e-mail or telephone.

December 15, 2009: Contacted Hollywood DJ again by e-mail and telephone to report return of package and confirm their shipment of replacement. The only response received was an e-mail from Allan at Hollywood DJ indicating “I do show a package on its way to you , tracking no. 1Z76A0Y89098491466.”  However, the tracking number he indicated was for the package we were returning to Hollywood DJ with the defective equipment, which was en route to their store in California. Further telephone calls and e-mails  to Hollywood DJ did not receive any return response as of COB.

December 16, 2009: Contacted Hollywood DJ again by telephone to report return of package and confirm their shipment of replacement. No response received as of COB either by e-mail or telephone.

December 17, 2009: Contacted Hollywood DJ again by telephone to report return of package and confirm their shipment of replacement. Received call from Chris at Hollywood DJ that evening. Chris indicated all their machines were tested and found defective, so no replacement could be made. Chris indicated a refund would be made to my credit card that same day.

December 18, 2009: Return shipment received at Hollywood DJ for UPS Tracking 1Z76A0Y89098491466 (Attachment H). No refund has been received from Hollywood DJ.

December 28, 2009. Checked credit card account, and no refund has yet been received by Hollywood DJ. Sent e-mail to both Chris and Allan at Hollywood DJ. No response received as of COB either by e-mail or telephone.

To Date (January 22, 2010): No refund has been received from Hollywood DJ. Over 30 days have passed since return was received by Hollywood DJ.

Update: I filed a dispute with my credit card company, and it has taken care of refunding the charges that Hollywood DJ failed to refund.
