My original purchase was on-line 06 Oct 11 for a battery for my 4th generation iPod touch for self-installation. The price was totaled on-line for 22.95 incl. shipping and handling. Within the hour, I called the company to cancel this order. At that time I was told...wait two billing cycles to receive your refund. I went ahead and purchased the professional installation which totaled $35.00. 17 Oct 11 after this company received my iPod, they sent me an e-mail stating they are not responsible for the device not working even after battery installation.
If I knew this before I paid and sent this company my iPod, I would have NEVER done business with them. Who knows if they broke the item while claiming to install a battery, this device requires soldering and careful handling. This disclaimer should have been made visible on their web page for all to read before any purchase of their services are made, it is not.
I was charged $35.00 for the self installation which I was never refunded for then I was charged an additional $22.95 for ipod battery depot to replace the battery for me. So, I am out $52.95 + shipping and handling and still I have a broken ipod. This company is a scam!!! and should be put out of Business!!!! oh and I am currnetly deployed, my ipod was the only for of entertainment i have, so I hope they feel wonderful ripping of a military person who is fighting for their freedom. Shameful!

Monday, January 30, 2012 7:46 PM, iPod Battery Depot decided to refund $22.95 my payment. I have accepted it and have moved on as this experience has shown me that no matter what the possible diagnonses or price, I will use the maker of that product to diagnose and fix that device. By the way, I am still out an ipod and the rest of the payment made to this company.
Thank you IPOD Depot for the valuable lesson.
