Has anybody ever gotten their rebate from a purchase at Fry's Electronics. I sure have not. I have documented everything with the latest Roxio ripoff for $60.00 through two separate $30.00 rebates. The company processing these rebates is Parago, Inc. and when I first visited their website, it stated: Missing Proof of Previous Ownership, Invalid Postmark Date, Missing Purchase Date.

So I wrote a nasty email and the page magically updated to "Your rebate is valid and is scheduled for final processing." That was in July. It is now November and guess what -- no rebates. Is anyone pursuing a class action against Fry's, Roxio, or Parago? Does anyone have any suggestions? I have been barraging my local television news but have not gotten a response yet. I won't shop at Fry's anymore unless I cannot get something elsewhere. WHAT A RIPOFF!

Retailers such as Fry's Electronics are not responsible for manufacturer rebates.

Manufacturer rebates are just that, rebates offered by manufacturers as incentives for consumers to buy their products. Rebates are not offered by retailers such as Fry's Electronics, Best Buy or Circuit city so do not fault the retailers for delays with the third-party company processing the rebates. Fry's sells the products, they don't make the products and they don't offer the rebates. The rebates are offered by Lexmark, Samsung, Dell, etc.

Not all rebates are manufacturer rebates

Actually, many retailers (including Fry's) offer mail-in rebates as well. The original complaint doesn't provide enough information to know whether this was a Fry's rebate or Roxio rebate, but it sounds like this is an issue with the company processing the rebate- not Fry's.
