I bought a 1999 Cadillac w/Northstar engine.Mileage 78K.The vehicle has a blown head gasket. After many calls and hours of searching the internet,I have found that the only shop willing to repair the head gasket is in Canada. The Cadillac master mechanics tell me that the vehicle cannot be repaired due to misapplication of the head bolts. Therefore my only option is a new engine,$9,000.I bought the "preowned" vehicle from a local "reputable dealer" who unbeknownst to me sold me "the dealer prepped" vehicle with no coolant in itMy owners manual states that driving a Northstar with only water is dangerous. The Carfax had no information concerning this. From what I can gather,California has instituted lawsuits for its residents.Do I have any recourse?
