Mr. Finley Ewing, AutoHaus, 4464 W Plano Pkwy, Plano, TX  75093

I purchased and finance ($94,000+) a 2008 ML 63, from Mr. Daniel Fitzek.  After two months of owning this superlative vehicle the SERVICE LIGHT kept coming on advising I need to service the vehicle.  It was rather aggravating so I brought the vehicle into the service department, and they said even though you had this vehicle such a short time, the Service announcement will continue until you get the vehicle serviced.  I believe it was a 10,000 service when I only had about 5000.  Mr. Fitzek said to me that since you had the vehicle such a short time, we’ll only charge half price for the service.  Well, sheesh!  Here I had the vehicle for two~three months and already I have to pay an exorbitant amount when it should have been charged to  ‘in-house’ rather than gouging the customer and my paying a large sum after having recently purchased the vehicle.  This was a bad customer relations blunder and I am not happy.

Now, to the jist of this letter, in addition to the above complaint:  I paid a goodly sum to have the vehicle service, and it was supposed to be an ‘all points’ check-up in addition to the 10,000 mile service and I only had 5,000 miles.  Well, for pity sake, two days after having the service and paying for service I should not have paid for, a message cam on my dash warning system:  Check Tire Pressure.  Mr. Ewing, I am a disabled person and it is very difficult for me to stoop and bend; nevertheless, the warning light kept coming on despite my have had the vehicle just serviced.  So I went to a Shell, where they want  $.75 to use the air pressure machine.  Ugh.  In spite of my pain and discomfort, I got down on all fours and proceeded to at air to the tires:  Each tire was 6~8 lbs UNDER the recommended pressure.  After filling two tires and because I cannot move fast enough for the $.75, the machine turned off, and I had to fork up another $.75 and craw around on all fours again to fill the other two tires that too were underinflated.  This was never check, even though I am sure the service department check a box stating it was done, when IT HAD NOT BEEN DONE!  It makes me wonder what else the service department was supposed to have checked that was not checked or not completed!!   Can I not trust Ewing to do as expected?  Do I have to expect to be gouged for money that I really should not had to pay?  My wife has been wanting a used MB, but I don’t think we will be returning to Ewing.
