Germain Toyota I just wanted new battery Sarasota Florida

I dropped off car to get bad battery changed. It was when electrical tech ewas off and too late to get right battery so they gave me a track car. Next thing I know choke light would not go off and starter wires fried and would not charge. I was given car back with 171.00 bill for a battery and 2 hours labor. The tech said your wiring is all messed up and I cannot fix.

After investigating online and looking at work I found problem. I also showed another mechanic at anpther garage. If choke light stays on with current situation, the alternater is bad. Further investigating showed a wire (power) to alt was connected with 2 strands out of 25 to positive on alt. The starter wire fried when he crossed pos and neg on battery. This was fixed with wire I had in car for my stereo to be. also my alterneter was 189.00 as it was for a racing car (heavy duty) and 2 weeks old. Battery fried agin and car is in hands of caplable mechanic. I have not paid yet but this was not first time that this kind of thing happened there. Fool me once shame on you , fool me twice shame on me.

It would seem considering 75% of dealers profit is from service and body shop that they would get trained mechanics as they have 12 dealerships.
