Took my car in for a routine oil change and basic maintenance check. 
Was given the following giant list of things to repair: brakes, battery, 
engine cooling system, air cabin filter, water pump, alignment, automatic 
transmission fluid, tire mount balance, new tires, and replace HEPA 
filter. The estimated total would be $1,722.76. 

Took the car to another mechanic who said only the rear breaks, the 
transmission, and eventually the tires need attention. Cost: roughly $400.
