While it is true that Mr. Lovato has taken many businesses public, looting them he did not. He is a successful business man who has helped many people out when normal banks refused to lend them money.

Mr. Zangara was a successful dealer for many years who became a victim of the economy and Chrysler's collapse. Many dealerships have gone through similar problems and had similar misdealings with Chrysler Financial.

The original report failed to mention that there are many other people who are on the board of directors of AutoStar and have a hand in running the business.

These men created AutoStar to help dealers who lost their franchise. Anyone in the car business knows that it is very difficult to go from being a franchise dealer to an independent used car dealer and still cover basic costs such as mortgage on a large lot. In creating AutoStar, these men are helping dealers by giving them products they need at a lower cost and helping to create business plans that keep these dealers open. Many dealers have lost their franchise and closed their doors due to the inability to find products and services they need at a price they can afford. AutoStar provides this. AutoStar has already saved many jobs and I pray that they will be able to save many more in the future.

Additionally, I would like to see any facts of this complaint being true. It is all heresay and slander from someone who obviously doesn't like these gentlemen. I thought this site was to warn people, not a place to post your own personal feelings about a person.

"You can please some people some of the time but you can't please everybody all the time..."

AutoStar Dealer Network is run by a board of directors which includes George Lovato.  The attorney General's office has not charged Ken Zangara for any crimes.  AutoStar was started to help dealers who are loosing their franchises and to protect consumers purchasing used cars. 

I think it's SAD that someone prefers to voice their complaints in this manner instead of confronting the person and work through their prejudice.  If this person has been hurt in any way by the people named in this report...the facts should be stated here. 

Though tempted to lash out at the individual who obviously has manifested a disdain of some way for either George Lovato Jr. or Ken Zanagara I choose only to share the truth about what I know about the individuals involved in AutoStar, BH Capital and AutoStar.

I own a successful business associated with the industry.  Through this business I have engaged in numerous services for Mr. Zangara in the past and always been treated fairly.

 I have also served and been a part of numerous charities, of national and local affiliations with Mr. Zangara and found him to be an individual that not only is an incredible businessman but one who knows of the importance of giving back to the community that provides for him.  I do not say this lightly, I have worked indirectly with him for over fifteen years.

My association with Mr. Lovato and BH Capital has been shorter in nature but as substantial.  My initial introduction to BH Capital was on behalf of a car dealership that needed a floorplan because of the decay of conventional floorplan sources through the change of the automotive economy.  Through BH Capital this dealer was provided a floorplan and now is in business where without he risked losing his business.

I believe this was the premise on which AutoStar was developed - as an alternative for dealers who were having their franchises taken away by the manufacturers.  By giving these dealers an alternative and the associated infrastructure not only is AutoStar saving dealerships but saving jobs for thousands of people associated with these dealerships.

It is sad that an individual would cast dispersion on an entity or those associated with it only because of a personal distaste.

I think it is by far safe to say that at one point or another you have associated yourself with both men involved in the rather harsh report you have decided to post Web-Wide (does that make you a con man as well) You unfortantely must not have had the opportunity to actually know either men on a personal nor professional level as you feel you are able to cast judgement on both.  Mr. Zangara in an attempt to restore his dealership landed in the hands of Mr. Lovato...unfortunately the business was unable to be salvaged for reasons you nor I know,but in turn a friendship and remarkable opportunity was presented in the form of AutoStar Dealer Network to help dealerships in the same predicament Mr. Zangara was in.  These weak and desperate individuals you do so speak of that AutoStar and BH Capital Limited have dealt with are in fact not how we see any of them nor do we see them as opportunities to make fast cash.  Mr. Lovato, Jr. takes pride in his business and as a person who deals with these "weak and desperate individuals" you speak of , I first hand take that comment to offense.  We are all here to help those who want to help themselves.  Unfortuantely, just as any other business we are not able to help everyone who comes knocking at our door, for which I can only say I am sorry to the "editor" of the original report for you must have been one of these people, but in turn does that make it right for you to ATTEMPT to tarnish a reputation that both men have devoted so much time and effort in?

I am also someone who knows of both men on a personal and professional level and I personally have not one bad thing to say about either one.  Both George and Ken would give the shirts off their backs for anyone and are only here to see business' and individuals thrive in their profession and dreams.  If you are an individual not satisfied with the outcome of our services or an individual who assumed he/she could not benifit from our services it would have been more appropriate to verbally inform those involved of your dis-satisfaction. We thank you for informing us of your opinion. However, to refer to such matters in a internet posting that will be online for all to see, is, I believe is a new form of "LOW".

In closing, I appreciate the opportunity to defend these individuals. You sir, may be trying to protect the public, but you do the public a disservice, by discrediting companies like AutoStar (one word , not two) and BH Capital Limited , whose reason for being in business is to help people and see individuals/business' soar to new heights.

Mr Lovato has a track record of not only building his own successful businesses, but providing finance for others to build their businesses. In the process he has created livelihoods for countless numbers of people.

Mr Zangara built a successful business over many years that provided employment for over 100 people. If the author took the time to understand the true facts he would know that Mr Zanagara lost his business through no fault of his own.

The forgotten casualties of the restructuring of the automotive industry are the car dealerships. Many have gone out of business as a result with the resultant loss of work for their employees.

Mr Lovato and Zangara, together with a number of well respected people in the auto industry, created AutoStar Dealer Network to provide the infrastructure and systems to auto dealers enabling them to remain operational and in business. Their integrity and  compassion drive the business as much as revenues and the bottom line do.

The authors report would have more merit if it included any facts. Without those facts it's just an opinion of a person who has a personal grudge against two men and should be  dismissed as such.

Although I would like to lash out at the individual who wrote the slanderous report I will instead only stick to the facts.

I am the owner of a business that supplies services to the auto industry.  In this capacity I have had the opportunity to do business with Mr.  Zangara on numerous occasions over the last fifteen years and enjoyed a very fair return on my investment - hardly what you would consider the work of a "con man".

In addition I have worked with, and seen the work of Mr. Zangara, on numerous charitable boards, national and local in nature, and seen the work of a businessman who not only is interested in making a profit on the community but also giving back to the community.

My work with Mr. Lovato and BH Capital has been of shorter duration but equally substantial.  I met Mr. Lovato and BH Capital through a dealer client in need of a floorplan as he (as many others) was losing his captive floorplan.  Nobody would help.  BH Capital helped him procur a floorplan.

Without BH Capital this dealer probably would be out of business today.  Instead, 30 plus people still have jobs and a vibrant business continues.

It is my understanding that it was on this premise that AutoStar was founded - to assist dealers that had their franchises taken away from them in the restructuring of the automotive industry.
