We purchased a vehicle from C&C Dodge Toyota.  In doing so the salesman talked us into a "bumper to bumper waranty".  Notice the quotes.

The car was loaded so we thought it would be a good idea.  We were told for just over $2,000.00 we could fix anything except batteries, brakepads, and other regular maintenace for a $50 deductible. 

We questioned the salesman about the powertrain, video system, alternator, and other expensive car repairs, and he stated they were all covered.  NO problem.   NOT TRUE.

At around 50,000 miles my engine failed.  No warning what-so-ever.  I was stunned.

I was more stunned when they said my engine would not be covered due to water in the engine.  Thay actually accused us of driving the car into water deep enough to get water in the air intake.  My husband annoyed with what was happening told them to remove the air filter in front of us.

Suprize, it was dry an clean.  We followed all the rules of our waranty, but as of today (a month later) my car is sitting at the dealership.  So far they are getting away with labeling it a neglected car.  This is so infuraiting considering we have all the records proving it was seviced before the 3 month/3,000 mile times.  Not a neglected car. 

The dealership's response is blame the waranty company.  It is the salesman who committed a fraud on us.  The service garage at C&C diagnosed it as neglect. This is on C&C not the waranty company. When I called the waranty company to let them know I had sent my vehicle to C&C for repairs they denied my rental car until I got a more definitive diagnosis.

I asked the rep why I needed a diagnosis when my waranty was a "bumper to bumper" he then stated "Miss we don't carry bumper to bumper waranties."  Thus the quotes! He then expained all the holes in my waranty.  I then called my husband who was irate at my news.  This is flat out fraud.  If you have had these problems I encourage you to go to the better business bureau and attorney general's website to file a complaint.
