Cheryl, I agree with you one hundred percent. I have had nothing but problems with the two vehicles that car hop has given me on the same warranty/agreement. As for the person who stated that "should have brought your vehicle to a mechanic, and have it inspected." They WILL NOT let you do that, I asked, and they told me they only let the vehicles leave for test drives only. I had a Saturn that they told me was a great running vehicle in my price range, I had asked them what else was, they told me that nothing else was, that my credit score was that bad. I was confused, I knew it wasn't great, due to the fact, I was 19 years old, and I didn't want my parents to have to co-sign for a vehicle, but it could not have been that bad. Anyways, I attempted to start the vehicle, and the salesman, whom was very nice, stated that sometimes they do this if they are not ran for a while. He got it to start, and I test drove it, it seemed to work perfectly. He stated that the car that was "very reliable". So, I bought the vehicle, I had it for 5 months, the transmission literally exploded. The mechanic I brought it to, was a mechanic that car hop requested, and he stated that he has only seen a transmission do this two other times in his lifetime. It took car hop one month to fix my car. Caused me to fail my law enforcement classes at school, because I had no way to get there. They fixed the vehicle, and then gave it back to me, this last summer of 09, I was driving to my parents house, and the engine seized up. They took a month and a half to decide to put me into a different vehicle. I now sit with a Ford Taurus that is broken down for the second time. Same problem, that qualifies under the lemon law, in Mn, so I will be contacting an attorney. I am not going to fail anymore classes because they wont give me a vehicle that works for more than a month.
