Carl Gregory Of Albany sales advertising rip-offs Albany Georgia

I was at the Carl Gregory lot today (Saturday June 28th). They had a Chevrolet Lumina with the advertisment on the windshield. It read $699.00 plus tax.

I was talking with the salesman and he asked if I would like to drive the vehicle, and I did. When I returned I made a offer of 699.00 and they pay the tax. It was refused. Then I told him to complete the paperwork that I was going to buy the auto.

The salesman took down all my information on the sales work-up sheet and said he would be right back. When he returned his final figure was $1404.00. I thought this was a joke and actually laughed a little. How can the taxes be in excess of $700.00!!!!

I really wanted this car for my mother so I made an offer of $1100.00. This also was denied. I don't know why I made another offer, It should have been $699.00 plus tax, this was the advertised price.

I think this place is a rip-off and should be investigated by the better business bureau as such. I have filed a report to this association and hope that they take some action.

If I had been financing instead of paying cash there is no telling how much the total price would be.

Carl Gregory is a joke from the word go!!

I wonder just how many people have been ripped of by this company.
