Carmax Auto Finace is trying to rip me off for $800 in service charges on a car loan I had with them. I asked for the pay off amount accoriding to my records it should be in the area of $990 for the last three months of my car loan.

They have added $800 in mystery loan fees to it. They also said that if I do not pay these fees they will repo the car. I have gotten 3 other letters with differing mystery loan fees. No one at Carmax can explain what these fees are for or why the amounts are different.

I am going to my attorney with the original contract and a copy of the contract which they had sent me and they are not the same. The contract they sent me was not even signed by me. These people at Carmax are thieves. Do not buy a car of finace anything though them.

Daniel stated they may be charging you interest as an explanation as to why you have to pay $800 dollars on top of the $990. If this is true I would suggest you find some help as $800 interest on $990 is unfathomable and I suspect it would also be illegal and I have never heard of any documentation fees at the end of a loan costing $800. In fact, I have never heard of any fees when a loan is paid off, you just get your pink slip or certificate of ownership.

You have to wonder about the comments listed when an employee of the company suggests you owe $800 interest on $990 dollars.
