Carmax ripped me off and service department called me a liar. Never fixed problem and charged me. Been to the dealer 6 times for the same problem. buena park, California

This is my horror story. I bought a  05 navigotor from car max. From day one the car had nonething but issues. They said they would repair everything wrong with the car. First day we got the car there was a clunk when you put the car into drive. Took it back in and and they said something was loose. They repaired it. Again withen a week it started happing again. Took it back and they repaired it again at a cost to me. When we picked up the suv the next day the transmission would not put the car in drive. So they took it back in. They said the tranny was low on fluid. Got the suv back in a week had the same problem. After that issues we were told we could take it to ford to have them fix it. I told them why cant there ase certified personal fix the problem since it was under warranty. They said bring it back and they would look at it again.

So two weeks go by since they made a appointment for me to bring the truck back. As we are bringing the suv back the suspension air compressor goes out. THey repair everything under warranty and send us on our way again. Not less then a 3 weeks later the air compressor goes out again and the truck will not go into drive leaving me and my girlfriend and friends 3 month old baby in the car. I have the car towed to cerritos ford. Comes to find out that the transmission was bad and had burnt valves and was low on fluid. And the compressor that they replaced was a used one. I have invoices from cerritos ford. I spent way more then the suv was worth. I will give credit that carmax fixed replaceable interior parts that could be taken of by snaping new peices on. But do not use them for any services that has to do with mechanical with engine or drive train. Cerritos ford had the problem isolated in 20 min after droping off the car.

I hope anyone that reads this is steers away from carmax. They talk a good game and never back anything up. They make everything seem like a good deal and want you to sign on the dotted line. I wish they would do something to help remburse me. SOmething to take this sour taste out my mouth and wallet. If not I will warn everyone about my troubles. The bbb or goverment needs to look into them.
