As soon as I stepped out of my vehicle, the salesmen swarmed like a bunch of sharks on a feeding frenzy. Once I showed possible interest in a vehicle, the salesmen became very intense and set on not letting me leave the premises.

None of the vehicles were priced in the lot. I had no idea what the vehicles were worth. The salesmen would not talk prices until they were double teaming me. They show some paper indicating the vehicle was worth $17,000 and informed they were knocking $3000 off the price. I found out later after signing the papers that the vehicle was worth about $7,000. I told the salesman that I wanted my brother-in-law to inspect the vehicle before I purchased it.

The salesmen wanted me to sign a bunch of paperwork before I could take the vehicle to have my brother-in-law or a mechanic check the vehicle over. I thought the sale was contingent on approval my brother-in-law's approval.

Since I could not qualify for financing, my mother (a senior citizen) was willing to co-sign on a loan. When it was all over and done with, the loan papers were in her name although she kept stating she did not want the loan in her name as she was not buying the vehicle and she did not want her name on the title.

The salesmen insisted we sign some papers before we could take the veh for inspection. They kept putting down paper after paper to be signed and said oh just sign it. When questioned about some of the extra charges on the sales agreement, the salesmen said they were required. After my mother & I signed all of the papers and took them to my brother-in-law to review along with the vehicle, we learned that my mother was the one with the loan, I was the co-signer & the vehicle was sold for almost twice its actual value. We also learned the sale of the vehicle was NOT contigent upon approval of my brother-in-law.

Champion Chevrolet and its salesmen used high pressure sales techniques to take advantage of two naive women selling a vehicle for way more than it was worth and misrepresented what the buyer's rights were.
