CRST sorry to say there is nothing really good to say about this company. My husband got his CDL back in high school, and drove local for many years. He started driving in 2003 and drove local up til 2008. He was 21 years old and was now able to drive over the rode. When CRST offer he a job we were very happy. Until 6 months after he joined with this company. He had to go hungrey, showers, and family do to lack of pay. He would be out on the rode 2 months at a time. Only to bring very little home. Back at the house life was hard as well. We could not mack are rent payment, car payment, or electricituy bill. As for food I was forced to get on food stapes, so I would not go with out food. We barowded money from my mom, and in the end it still was not enough. We ended up going back to warefare to pay our electric bill for us. We could not pay things we needed around the house. I ended up moving in with my mom just to eat. While working for CRST my husband made 5,500.00 CRST took over half of it. They end up taking over 4,000.00 of his pay. In that last 6 months he workede for them he brought home a little over 1,000.00. When we finnaly got them payed off, this team driver ran out of gas while he was sleeping and they took over 300.00 out of this check for it. They where going to do this for up two weeks. In the end it was either to lose our house or to get a job that would pay it workers. For I was starting to wonder who was working for whome. Even though my husband had his CDL before he drove for this company, they still made him go to there training school. While doing so they put him under contract. A contract that he should never been under for he had a issue a CDL though a different training school. Even though they took over 4,000.00 out of his check while he was working for them we still own them 4,500.00 for braking a contract that false in the first place. We now ask for anyone that had a problem with CRST to come forward. For we would like to fight back. For this company nearley cost us everything. Thank You for your time.

.......and you should be out there looking for work as well. However...judging by the way you wrote this report I can see why you aren't. Perhaps you should be taking some night school classes or something. Your spelling and sentence structure is deplorable for an adult.....of any age.

I can tell the rebuttals are from CRST Van Ex non-driver employees. This is a prime example of the callus and discriminatory practices of CRST Van Expedited. “Affirmative action hire” considering %80 of the driver for them are minorities the comment is callus and uncalled for and just show a total lack of professionalism on the part of CRST VAN EX. If a minority driver of CRST VAN EX decided to copy and paste the comments to www.rainbowpush.org I can foresee a substantial judgment and people fired.

I did the 8month contract thing with these people.. and quit 2 times and had to go back.
1. they would tell any company you tried to get a job with they were going to sue them if you were hired. 2. They tried to come after me for $4,500.. and was hounding me..
Then each time i would go back they were adding time to my contract and not giving me credit for time i was accualy on the road working. It took me a total of a year and a half to finally get away from these people. They always found some deduction and the payed per mile for city work was a joke. I have a pay stub that shows .16 cent for a trip that was 2 miles and took us 3.5 hrs to do... is that even legal????
Then they push you to the point where you cant shower for days at a time......
all and all I wish I had found a site like this before i had signed up.. There is so much more, but i'm getting a head ach just thinking about it...
STAY AWAY....... FROM CRST>>>>>>>

I am truly sorry to hear this. I had an excellent experience with CRST. They were very fourth coming about compensation during training and my contract. It is not a living wage and you should have prepared for this. Your husband is a big boy now and should have taken all into consideration.
No I am not a d*** scratcher and feel JC is a self absorbed prick. I was on a 3 man dedicated team 2 weeks on 1 week off with a 6200 mile run. Life was good.
