PEOPLE, you won't believe what I had to endure with the vehicle I bought at Drive Time in Downey, CA. The embarrassing moments I had to go through with valet attendants coming to me with all my friends around me, saying that my car won't start. The way people looked at me when they saw my face expressions when my car wasn't starting. The first week I had taken this vehicle out of the lot, I was already in one of their very cheap repair centers (tire shop).

Before taking it in to “HAVE IT FIXED”, I had called the sales associate that had helped me out and told him that the vehicle took a long time to start. He advised me that I was probably because they had put in the wrong type of gas, which I believed and that I needed to run the vehicle to get it out of its system. I had contacted drive time warranty and was told to take it in.

Well, the first time I took in the vehicle, the repair center had told me that they did not find anything wrong with it. I knew there was something wrong. It didn't take a genius to figure that one out..! Also, keep in mind that I had to be asking around for a ride to work and the repair center.

Well, I took the vehicle in a total of 3 times to that repair center. None of those times was it ever fixed. By this time I was already mad. I had called the warranty explaining over and over and over again what the situation was. When I asked to take it to its manufactures dealer they said NO, THEY CHARGE TOO MUCH.

So, for some odd reason, when I told them fine, I'll take it back to their repair center, they had stop doing business with them so I was referred to repair center across town. When I first took it in to the second repair center, the guy told me that it might be the full pump. That was replaced with after market parts. The problem still persisted. I took my vehicle in a total of 6 (Yes, SIX) times to the second repair center making it a total of 10 times within less than a year that I had the car. The problem still persisted.

On my last attempt, I had taken in the vehicle for the same reason but this time the warranty said that I had exceeded my mileage by 60 miles. I had told them that shouldn't matter, this problem has been on going since I bought the car. Nothing changed their mind though. I placed a law suit and won the case in less than 3 months.

Since the car was used, lemon law did not apply so on my credit it shows that I have a volunteer repo, which of course was not true. My lawyer settled the case with the conditions of drive time removing any negative impact on my credit and paying off the loan.
