DriveTime Ugly Duckilng Auto Sales I purchased a car from them auto sales never tell you the actual price of the car you are buying ripoff Orange City Florida

I purchased a car from Drivetime, formally Ugly duckling auto sales (which is nationwide) in Orange City Florida. First they never tell you the price of the car, but ask you what type of payment are you looking for. Then they go into their office and come back with a list of cars that can fit your budget. Sounds good, right? Well it is not!!

They charge about a 22% interest rate that has you owing about $10,000 on a car worth only $3,000 (talk about being stuck in a car you cannot get out of) They advertise quality cars. Well they are not!

The car I purchased I had to spend an additional $2500 on for just repairs and when I missed 1 payment (which was only a week late) they sick the "hoods" on you and you feel like they have mob connections searching for their payment. I explained I could not make the payment since the car broke down and I was paying for repairs which were worth more than the car.

Did they care? Hell no! They just said if I did not make the payment they would come and get the car. Well I tild them they are more than wecome to it and to come get it. The rep actually laughed and told me that my loan balance was $9,850 and the value of the car was only $2,500 so I would have to still pay the balance.

Well as you can imagine I was more than upset lets face it I was pissed!! I had to forgo some of the repairs just to make a payment and I am driving the car in Florida with no A/C since that was one for the problems with the car. The A/C stopped working after 1 week. There was and still is a leak in the compressor that the mechanic told me should have been fixed before the car wasa sold and the leak was very noticable and not something that shoud have been missed.

In a nut shell..Stay away from this company!! DO not let them rope you in like they did me and others!
