I bought a brand new truck and the rear door did not shut properly. It was noted in the paper work when I bought the truck.

I visited Five Star Ford to get it fixed shortly after getting the truck. The service man said he had to order a part. When I went back, the service man had quit and I tried to tell the new one that a part had been ordered. Instead, they sent it to the body shop and all over the place.

They called and said it was ready. It was not. I took it back. I tried to tell them about the part. This time they had it for several days. When they called and said it was ready, I questioned whether they had put in the new part. They got very angry and refused to show me the old one.

The door still did not shut and I left the truck again. This time when they assured me that it was fixed, I went to pick it up and they had physically damaged, bent the top of my rear door. They tried to present the truck to me like this and then they tried to say they didn't do the damage. This is a brand new truck. They assured me that they would not bondo or fill it in to fix it. I went to the body shop the next day (I have pictures) and saw how they were fixing it. I went all the way to the top.

The owner of Five Star Ford never bothered to answer my letter, which by the way was not nasty, just stated the facts. I have had the truck now for almost two years and the rear door still does not shut properly. What is bad about it is that when it pops unshut, the inside light comes on and if you are driving, you have to find a place to stop, get out, go around and reshut the door in order to get the light off.

Five Star Ford did not care in the least about what happened. My boyfriend also bought a truck there a couple of months later. He took it in for the first oil change, low and behold, when he got it back, they had put the incorrect filter in and it was leaking oil.

Imagine that...... We no longer deal with them and as soon as we can get our trucks paid down a little bit, we will never again buy Ford products. We both come from a long line of loyal Ford owners.

Our families will not buy Ford products either. Not only did Five Star not stand behind their supposidly good reputation, Ford never did respond to our complaints. Good bye Ford.

Why did you buy a broken truck?

This whole thing could have been avoided if you didn't take delivery of the truck in the first place.

Many of the problems people have with auto dealerships on this website seem to stem from bad or inappropriate purchase decisions. This is a classic example. You should have never taken delivery of the vehicle if it was not to your satisfaction.

This is no different than purchasing a home - there is a final inspection and walkthrough prior to closing to identify issues and make sure that everything is to the satisfaction of the purchaser. New car deliveries are no different. You should be inspecting the vehicle prior to signing a sales contract, financing paperwork, etc. You hold much of the responsibility here.

Most all car dealers do not want you to have a chat with your car "MAKER" Car dealers do not like it when they find out that you have spent some time chatting with people that work at the "top"

So I will help you do what this car dealer would not want you to do.

First we need to send a "printer Friendly Version" of your Rip Off Report to the following people by email

Dear Victim, do you know how to copy and paste ? If so copy and paste this below entire email list in to a email and fire away.

The info that I am giving you will help you in a big way, ONLY if you use it. You also could email Henry Ford's Great grandson Wford@ford.com he is at the top at Ford. Email him a direct link to your Rip Off Report.

Fax a copy of your complete Rip Off Report to the car dealer that you feel is not helping you with your trouble. Doing this will soil the owner of this dealership's morning newspaper.

Maybe one day car makers will take a good look at how car buyers are being treated. Maybe one day car makers will set up "think tanks" that are willing to set up a car buying process that removes ALL DECEPTION !

P.S. Ask the people that you are going to email if this Ford dealer is a "BLUE OVAL" dealer?
