At Ford quality is job None

About six months ago I bought a new Ford Taurus. I bought it from the show room floor with 21 miles on it. For 2,000 miles it worked like it was supposed to and then the transmission began to act up.
I took the car to the local dealer. They found that the transmission was full of broken metal parts. This meant that they had to order a new one. My NEW car, with less than 3,000 miles on it was in the shop for eleven days!!!
I had to rent a car which cost me more than $300.00 for those 11 days! I called and wrote Ford customer service and Ford administration in Michigan and was told they were not going to reimburse me for the rental.
So much for "quality is job one" and ford customer service. I have since talked to ford mechanics and ford owners who have told me that many fords have major transmission problems but of course ford is not willing to do much for the consumer.
I for one will never buy another ford. If that was the only car I would take the bus!
