To all of you thinking of JD Byrider, CNAC, Rowland Motors, BEWARE. They sell cars that have been bought at auctions for little cost. Yes, they may help the little man that is down on his luck with credit. But they are actually more like a vampire sucking him dry. I figured up my truck is figured around 23% interest. I have had it for 3 years almost.
The first week I had it, it just stopped starting all together. The next month, it left me stranded on the side of the road. Then suddenly it started leaking oil badly. They said they replaced the oil pan gasket. The leak got worse. This was done by Brian there mechanic if he still works there. Then I threatened to contact the better business bureau. Tim the mananger tried to smooth it over. Had another shop, take the engine out. Replace the front and rear seals, the oil pan gasket again. Well, almost 2 years later it still leaks. I have to add at least a quart of oil a week.
There has been a noise in the bell housing forever. It's not as bad when the clutch is out, but bad when the clutch is in. OK, Brian there wonderfull mechanic says it's the throw out bearing. DUH, I'm not a moron, I've been working on cars as long as he has. He refused to fix it. Wanted $200 for the part, and some ungodly amount to put the part in. In which honestly, a entire clutch kit for a Chevy S10 doesn't cost $200.
Then there's been abnormal wear to the front left tire. Then a noise from it also. I took it in. Brian says, oh it's the wheel bearing. He replaces it, problem still exist. Then he blames it on a little weight I had in the back of the truck due to the snow. That my rear leaf springs were making noise. Truthfully, he needs his hearing tested! Even after the wheel bearing was fixed, it still made the same damn noise. So, I took it somewhere else. Turned out the outer tie rod end was going bad.
Then if you're a few days late on your payment, low and behold. They'll be calling threatening to repo your car. It never fails, threat after threat, after threat.
This is the worst company to deal with in many ways. If you would like to ask me any questions. Feel free to email me Barrowclyde37 at Yahoo.com.
I'm fixing to contact a lawyer to see if there's anything that can be done within the next couple days.
Sincerely,
Michael
