JD Byrider, CNAC "they told me my co-signer has to live in the same house with me" Columbia South Carolina

I went to JD Byrider on 6/27 and worked with a wonderful salesperson Alicia. I also met with a finance person Sheldon. I had a recent repo which I had told them about before ever coming in to the location, and I was assured I could be helped. After working up a budget I was told if I could get a co-signer they could put me in a car.

Well I called mine right on the spot and was able to get them into the office with me on 6/29. My co-signer has had SC residency at the same address for over 22 years and been on the same job 5 years. They had an advertised special of $199 down delivers. So I advised the salesperson I could bring the $200 in on today 6/30.

She left and spoke to the Sales Mgr and Finance person, so I waited over 35 minutes, and she comes back visibly upset. She says that they told her my co-signer has to live in the same house with me. That is a lie, co-signer's do not have to live with you. They just couldn't get the downpayment they wanted so they came up with a bogus answer.

Then the Sales Mgr and Finance person didn't even have the decency to come and speak with me, they just sent their salesperson back in with that lie. I'm not upset that they couldn't help me, but it's the way they did it. I know this is untrue and they need to be called to accountability on this.
