Junco Motors and the LEMON Cars...

I recently purchased a vehicle from Junco Motors. I found them on Craigslist wile I was looking for a car. The gentelman (Alfonso) was great! He approved my wife over the phone and we went to the dealership to do the paperwork and take the car. When I got there the car that was on the add (2002 BMW 325I) was not the one he was selling he kind of pushed me onto a different car (Same Model) but all and all I was happy because it was the same car just a different color. I asked about the Oil light staying on he said it was because when they did a tune up on the car they put regular oil instead of Syntetic. I said okay thats fine because I usually do another tune up after I purchase a car anyways. The first problem occured the same day that I purchased the car. My daugter rooled the rear driver side window down and it would not go back up. I calle dthe dealer and spoke to Alfonso and he said once you drive the car off the lot the cosmetic problems on a car are pretty much your problem. I was upset and told him that how can they not cover a problem that happened the SAME DAY as when a car was purchased? They said they would cover 50% of the bill and I would have to cover the rest. I agreed to it even though I know I was getting riped off anyways.

The second problem occured 1week and a half after I made my FIRST payment. I was at a red light and a MASSIVE amount of smoke started to come out of the Tail Pipe of the car. A police officer even told me to shut off the car because he thought it was on fire or something. Luckly I was a block away from home so I had some help and we pushed the car to my house. I called the dealership to tell them about my problem and so they can fix the car. A gentelman answerd the phone and he pretty much told me that I was on my own. That I had to have my car towed to they location just so they can inspect the car and once they came to a conclusion they would let me know if they are liable to pay for it or not. My Guess is that there conclusion will be that they will NOT pay. Why does the client supposed to pay for towing when there car is the problem? Not Fair for consumers.

Now I have a Car payment and a bill from my Mechanic for who knows how much. This dealership is the worse I have ever delt with and they are LIARS! They will tell you anything to put you in a car. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE / BAD OWNERSHIP / BAD CARS!!!!

HIGHLY RECOMEND NOT TO PURCHESS CARS AT JUNCO MOTORS...

So Wait...

AUTHOR: axxx - (United States of America)

Did the dealer lie to you and mislead you?  Probably.  BUT STILL.... YOU bought an 8 year old high end car with the check engine light on??  Have you ever owned a BMW before?  Do you have any idea how much it costs to fix them?  (That is why you can buy an 8 - 10 year old BMW pretty cheap - because you are rolling the dice - you may get a deal on a nice high quality car that will last for a good while, but if you get a bad one.. one that was not looked after.... you might as well just throw it away because it will cost more than it is worth to fix anything major.  This is not your old Chevy where you can get parts for $18 at Pep Boys, slap them on, and keep driving until the wheels fall off.  This is why you NEVER buy a used high end car on credit!  If you have to make payments on an 8 year old 325 BMW you can't afford to operate it - the first time it needs $3000 worth of work for something that would cost less than a grand on most cars you are out of business!

I'm not saying the dealer is a nice guy - but you have to watch out for yourself a little.  Check engine light on - 8 year old BMW... no way.  Did you get maintenance records?  Did you have the car checked out by a BMW dealer?

No one DESERVES to get ripped off - but you are aware that there are people in the used car business that rip off people..Right?  So before I feel to bad for you...what did you do to prevent yourself from getting ripped off?  From your report - it seems that the only thing you did was ask why the check engine light was on - then believe whatever
BS the dealer told you....
