My first car right out of college was a lemon to say the least. I bought a 1999 Kia Sephia and it was about six months old. A pretty car, low mileage, good price, an excellent warranty . . . I thought I was doing well for myself. A couple of months later it left me stranded. I had it towed and it was the transmission. I had it replaced and thought it was just a fluke.

Well, over the course of five months I had three more transmissions replaced. Once, it didn't even make it out of the city I had it repaired in. I found out from one of the car dealers I took it to it had already had a transmission replaced before I bought it! I had the thing towed so many times, my car insurance put a cap on my towing claims. I felt bad about it, but I traded it off and got a Dodge. I don't worry about getting to work anymore.
