I had just been in a car accident that totalled my car. I needed a car that day . I told the finace manager everything, I told him my car was totalled I had proof of paypff from my insurance company and Gap Insurance. He looked at me and said no problem we can get you in a car today. He took me to the lot where I test drove a Toyota Camry ,we then went inside and did the paperwork . He said I sent it over and there is no problem, please take a seat and do the paperwork.
I was waiting for the papperwork to be completed as I did this I watch 3 angry customers walk out. Made me a little cautious but they were treating me well so I went on with the paperwork. One week had pasted my dad had asked for my manual, there was not one in the car. So I drove up to Larry Miller and ask a manager for one and he gave me one, I then said to hiom "I havent recieved anything from my lender yet" He said no problem I will contact them he then looked in the computer and told me it was Prestiage and I should get it soon. I remain driving my car .Still concerned nothing came in the mail I made several attempts to get a hold of someone anyone at Larry Miller, noone ever called me back.
I then looked up Prestiage ,they declined me. I called Larry Miller yet again , finance manager never called back . I then tried faxing , emailing anything and everything. By this point 3weeks pass, I get a call from him saying "We need the car back today !" I said "What?" he said we tried everything, no approval. I was upset to say the laest that I had made so many attempts, I had an uneasy feeling about the way they conducted business. I went in the following day to give the keys.
The finacial manager came out and said " Give me the keys, I need to go look for damage" I followed him outside. He was very rude. I went back in with him to get my down payment. He wouldnt give it back! He refused. I called my husband ,I was so upset and the office at Larry Miller was very rude. I had put down a thousand dollars and they were going to keep it because they couldnt get me approved and I drove the car and that lost value in what they could get from someone else.
So they told me I was approved and let me drive a car for about a month didnt return my calls and took my money, they do this everyday from what I have heard , I currently have a complaint in with the Attorney Generals Office.
Whatever anyone does dodge this lot like the plague!! they lie , steal and cheat..When they say no problem thats because no matter what you arent their problem .
That day I gave them keys I walked over to Peoria GMC Pontiac and drove away in a BRAND new not used car and recieved the best customer service and they made my buying experience one i will never forget . So tell me how did I get a used car for MORE money and get a lower interest rate right down the road if my credit was such a problem.
The manager has since called me from Larry Miller to ask why I complained to the Attorney Generals Office, I said " You keep my down payment and let me drive a car without even trying to get me approved " He made $1000 off me. He said" Its all about customer service & money ?" I said that and the fact NOBOBY on your team returns calls he giggled and said ok I will get back to you . This was over a year ago.
