On December 11, 2007 we found this car on the website for sale and contacted MCLS at their Bridgeview, IL location. We checked the vehicle and test-drove it. It was in very good condition. So we deposited $1K and agreed with manager Erol Dimmitt that we will leave the car with dealership until the rest of money is paid and all deposits are cleared Then we were going to ship the car to it's destination. Erol Dimmitt told us that the Title would be ready in 10 business days after the money transfer cleared.

A week later car was paid in full. Then we rec'd the documents to sign by mail. After the full payment for the car was cleared on 12/20/07 it was impossible to get a hold of anyone in regards of the Title.

We still had our car at MCLS paid in full and no Title.
Every time we called operator said, “The person you are trying to reach is in a meeting." No mater what time of day we called, always the same message.
Our sales person Munier Abdul told us: "Go to hell and don't call me anymore..." So we decided to go there in person and face the manager to resolve the problem.

Our second visit was on 1/3/08 when we signed all of the documents. The manager assured us that everything was completed and we would receive the Title soon. We found out that Munier Abdul was fired.

We still had no keys or the car, assuming after we received the Title, the car would be shipped to its destination. And again the manager assured us that everything was OK and all we needed to do was wait for the Title.

Erol Dimmitt told us that the Title would be in on Monday 1/7/08 and we had to call him on Tuesday or he would call us. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday went by and no one called us at all.

Four weeks later, still no Title. So we went to the dealership again. When we pulled into the parking lot everybody was outside. We had a debate with Erol Dimmitt regarding car, keys, and title.

A few minutes later our car was brought to us in parking lot and we where told to: "Get hell out of here before we get ourselves in trouble and so on..." We were told that the business was being closed by 5/3 Bank and that all assets were being frozen.

When got the car started we realized that the car was not in the same condition as it was when we purchased it. There was no Navigation System, the power steering was broken, and there was a message on dashboard: "EPS system has malfunctioned, please see service". There were no manuals, no mats.

When we came home we searched on the internet and found out that the owner of this business is Lester Bafia. All 3 dealership are closed down for non-payments and fraud.

Today is 1/16/08 and still nothing. We still have not rec'd our Title. And the car we bought on the website Autotrader.com is still for sale. Their website is still up and running. And we are not the only ones who were ripped off. We are taking MCLS and Lester Bafia to court. If you were ripped off by MCLS as well, join us in this lawsuit. We'll beat them together!

No title provided--absolutely ridiculous

AUTHOR: Thomas - Traverse City (U.S.A.)

Dear Friend:

This letter is in response to your post regarding MCLS Autos. I too am getting shafted (no title), and it is to the point where I must consider filing legal proceedings. If MCLS is in bankruptcy this will complicate matters, but I would seek damages to "pierce the corporate veil" or in other words, sue the owner(s) of the company individually. Just need to find the right attorney to do that.

My advice to anyone who has not yet received title would be to send a written "demand letter" to produce title.

I feel your pain

AUTHOR: Usmc6276 - Libertyville (U.S.A.)

I am very familiar with the acts of those crooks, I am glad to see that they are out of business, my only regret is that I could not be there to see them close their doors, and laugh at them. My encounter with them is not as painful as yours though. In March 2007 I bought a 2004 Blue Ford lightning from them, I put a deposit down on it, and told them I would be back in a few days with my trade in and to pick up the truck. Well when I returned, I found out they sold the truck, I said "How can tou sell something that I bought 3 days ago!!!" I put a $500 deposit down, and they up and sold it underneath me. I argued with the manager Moe, and he said he would refund my deposit of course, I asked him to comp me $30 for fuel cost, because it was an hours drive each way. He said he felt he owed me no compinsation, and to top it off, it took them 3 weeks to refund my $500!!!! I filed a complaint with the BBB, but I am glad to see that they are out of business. I also had no idea that they scammed as many people as they did, I just hope everything works out for you, and you get your money back.
