I was sold without my knowledge a car polish contract when i purchased a new GM car.   The price of this car polish contract was $395.  My car was not polished  nor do I want it polished by these cooks.  I have attempted to contact the GM serveral times with no response back.   I wished I have never purchased my GM car from this company   The entire experience dealing with company was very poor.   Dealers like Midway makes  honest dealers look bad.

How Did You "NOT" Know?

AUTHOR: Jim - Orlando (USA)

How?  Let me tell you how.  You didn't read the contract!  If you would have read what you were signing BEFORE YOU SIGNED IT, then you would have caught it and either had it removed or walked out.

You can contact anyone you want.  The dealership has YOUR SIGNATURE on a contract which contains this item.  What's going to be your defense?  "I didn't read what I was signing!"?  "Bang" goes the gavel.  "CASE CLOSED, verdict for the defendant!"  (the dealer).

Never, ever sign anything without reading what you are signing BEFORE YOU SIGN IT!  If the dealer won't give you the time you need to carefully review and understand the contract, you WALK OUT!

SAD

AUTHOR: Cory - San Antonio (U.S.A.)

Watch out for those rip off dealer ADD ONS. $395 for a $5 wax job. When I've bought a few vehicles, I try and go out to the back lots and pick out the vehicles they haven't "gotten to" yet without ANY add-ons. Locally, they're charging $250 or more for a cheap tint job that they pay the poor fool $20 to do. $250 OR MORE for a pin stripe job they pay the same fool $20 to do. Fabric protection for $99 OR MORE, that they spray the seats with a $3 can of scotch guard. Paint protection, same $5 wax job for $299 ON UP. I saw the "tire protection program" for $499 which you can buy the same thing at discount tire or NTW/NTB for around $100, depending on your tires and don't have to pay for for the life of the car loan. You also have to be careful because some of these dealers put those add ons onto the invoices and claim they're "part of the vehicle" and CAN'T be removed. JUST WALK, to another dealer. Again, make sure you read over your contract TWICE, to make sure they haven't stuck anything into the contract that they didn't tell you about or "forgot" to mention.

BE HAPPY

AUTHOR: Rebecca - Gilbert (U.S.A.)

That is right,  I did say "be happy" and thank your lucky stars these crooks didn't get you for $11,000 like they did to me! Maybe they did and you just don't know it yet. Call the bank and a copy of your credit application and see if they forged anything or lied on your application.

These people are so sleazy that unfortunately even reading through the contracts you sign isn't enough, because they cut signatures out and place them on other contract's, the one that you DON'T see, and the credit application they slide another page in to make it look as though you signed it when you didn't.

The banks are in on it too and when your interest rate is jacked up without your knowledge, they split the difference with the dealership. In my case they screwed up all over the place (bank & dealership) and the dealership paid back every penny for the car in full, to the bank. Till this day it isn't resolved and they will not take responsibility for what they have done!

I am sure there are many, many more people that don't complain or don't know that they were taken for a ride..........literally!

Was it on the sticker?

AUTHOR: Jeff - gilbert (U.S.A.)

This cost should be on the sticker and there's no way around it.  I believe my polish charge was $200 dollars, and I tried to dispute it and not pay it, but their response was that the car came from the factory with the polish on it, and it can't be taken off and the cost can't be removed.  If it wasn't on the sticker but in your contract and you signed off on it, that would be a slimy thing the dealership did to you.
