I purchased a 1991 GMC Sierra truck (diesel) directly after viewing the listing on ebay. The listing said beautiful truck. Rebuilt engine, 0 miles, runs strong as a locomotive. I sent a check for $4,500.00 to Neil's partner Gordon Cochrane. The truck was shipped via a company called Phoenix Exotic Transport, which does alot of shipping for Neil but claims they've never heard a complaint.

When I recieved the truck at my residence it would not start (made an awful noise) and most things in the truck did not work. I contacted Neil and he suggested I take it somewhere to have it looked at. I had the truck moved to a local Chevy the dealer who does a lot of service work on diesel engines. They discovered that a large chunk was missing out of the portion of the engine block which holds the starter. To compensate, someone drilled a deep hole in the engine block and inserted 1 long soft bolt to hold the starter in place. The starter just shakes around and chewes up the flywheel. Their evaluation was that the truck needs a new motor.

I offered them 48 hours to make restitution, which they declined. They stated that the truck ran beautifully when they had it. Yet the trucking company has given me a document stating that the truck ran very rough when they picked it up in Florida and would not start again after that point.

Cause and Effect

AUTHOR: Jim - Orlando (USA)

You took it upon yourself to send your money off to somebody you don't know to buy a used car you've never laid eyes on, never test drove, never had your own mechanic check out. Scam artists are just waiting for some chump to come along without a lick of common sense. In this instance, guess who that is!

#3 Individual Responds

I bought a porsche from Neil Marcellino

AUTHOR: rolf - Meine (Germany)

Jim,

thats not correct. I met Neil in person in Boca Raton, inspected the car. The car needed a new paint and interieur. We agreed on a price of 13000$ for everything. After the car would be ready, Neil should deliver it to my shipper in Fort lauderdale. We went to my bank, I gaved him the cash. I called several times what happen to the car. After a few month, Neil hang up when I tried to call him. I asked a friend in Naples to take care of that. He called Neil and he said, I should have picked up the car within 45 days. There is a law in Florida, if You dont pick it up within this period, You lost the ownership.

In the meantime (last week) I went to the police in Boca and made a complaint of fraud against Neil Marcellino.I  hope other people who got cheaten by this guy will do the same.
